We held our Stakeholder Meeting at Galatasaray University

CancerDisinfo

As the CancerDisinfo community, we convened our Stakeholder Meeting, graciously hosted by Dr. Yaşar Şekerci at Galatasaray University.

During our multifaceted, intensive, and in-depth discussions, we addressed critical topics including media and cancer disinformation, health literacy initiatives, and the academic literature at the intersection of cancer and communication in Turkey. We also mapped out our future roadmap and joint projects.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Prof. Dr. Banu Karsak, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Emre Dünder, Dr. Nagehan Uzuner, Dr. Çağlayan Akpınarlı, and Dr. Suncem Koçer, who accepted our invitation and enriched our discussions with their invaluable contributions. We also send our love to all our community members who could not be with us but whose energy and support we always feel.

An exciting and productive period lies ahead for CancerDisinfo—a time where we will expand the impact of our work and create together.

We invite all relevant stakeholders to join us in discussing how we can strengthen this field together.
